My condolences on your loss. I figured as such when you said you'd be
gone for a while and I hoped for the best. Moms can be hard, most
families I know of were matriarchies where mom is the center of the
family - mine, certainly.

I fear I'm going down the same road - my mother fell 5 weeks ago, broke
her hip and elbow. She's in an inpatient rehab facility now and we're
shopping for memory care facilities for her - she won't be able to go
home and live alone any more. The fall was more of an accellerant - we
were headed towards memory care for a while.
