A few people run old software that doesnt support MSGID. With it, you get the features you describe. clrghouz will dupe detect based on msgid alone (and shouldnt generate a new message). I also do a checksum of the "content" (minus kludges/control lines) - but I dont reject the message at this stage. (I have it there incase it becomes a problem, but it doesnt appear to be one.)
