I end up paying for my Amazon prime membership with battery shipping. I have a UPS that needs a new battery now that I need to replace, hoping that BestBuy will accept the battery. I think my local garbage will, they recycle alkalines and rechargeables - just not quite that big! Although, my UPS is a 550 kva, and it only gets me 10 minutes or so of run time. Might be time for a bigger UPS, although I really just need enough run time to survive little blips and to automatically shut my desktop down. It's running a RAID array, and power cuts cause it to go into a verify state that takes a good 6-8 hours and bogs the system down. --- SBBSecho 3.11-Win32 * Origin: http://realitycheckbbs.org | tomorrow's retro tech (1:218/700) .
