  Not seeing it with an old version (0.92.0) on Debian, & don't recall seeing 
it with newer versions on Ubuntu.

  I agree that we need more information, including which version of Ubuntu 
he's running.  (I don't have 14.04 available yet.)

  I haven't finished work on the new Debian package but if needed I could do a 
manual build (dev system is currently a Ubuntu 12.04 install, with various 
Debian/Ubuntu versions in chroot's) for comparison purposes.
