They don't need to be the latest and greatest, just some sort of x86_64 with 4GB+ of memory will run Synchronet. I have no problem telling people to go read the documentation, and I've been told that enough times, but if someone can genuinely prove they've given it a try then I'll help out, and if they can articulate their issue and provide useful feedback.
