FYI, you can use C# (.Net 5, formerly Core) cross platform with tooling for Windows, Linux and MacOS. Though Visual Studio proper is still windows, you can do a lot with VS Code and the command line tooling. A lot of the apps at work are targetting Linux/Docker for testing. Of course modern node/browser/deno environment development is quite a bit different than with Synchronet these days...
