After doing some more testing, the double buffer effect i was seeing is in syncterm...
It works as expected in plain old telnet...

i said sdk, i meant libraries, sorry
I still haven't looked at them thoroughly... I've been side-tracked by ansi art
generation stuff! lol

anyway, excited by everything... my neurospicy brain is having a blast
