My  brother and  I have  a plan.  We're going  to write  and
illustrate a children's  story in the month  of April. We'll
self-publish  it  shortly thereafter,  but  our  goal is  to
complete it in a month.

The illustrating  will take the longest,  I'm convinced. Our
idea was to  come up with the rough outline  in one day, the
entire rough draft of the story in one week, and the rest in
the  three  following weeks.  I'm  writing  the story,  he's
illustrating.

The outline on  the first day is important  because it gives
him time to play with ideas for the illustration. The entire
story in one week is important  because it leaves time to do
finished work on the illustration.

We decided  that this first  story would be  simplistic, so
that things wouldn't get too  caught up in illustration. For
my part, I wanted to come up with a  new story line, not one
that I have in  the pile. I came up with  the story while at
the park with the kids this  afternoon, and I'll email it to
him this evening.
