More recently I've started simply posting content, and
referencing other people's gopher posts inline. I found
that more often than not I wanted to write something that
referenced multi posts out in gopherspace, and so a "reply"
folder wasn't as functional as hoped.

After some months, it has become clear that people in
gopherspace- at least for the present- are willing to work
with however others are working. Things vary a bit from
place to place, but everyone just goes with it. I like that,
and hope it continues. But if it doesn't, I've enjoyed it
for now, and I don't know that I could ask for more.

There is a discussion of sorts going on on grex right now
about interaction between gopher authors. I like the idea of
just posting on gopher and hoping the other authors see, it
keeps it all pretty simple and non-intrusive. That said, I'm
entirely open to other forms... it appears that an idea of 
creating a "responses" folder is being tried, I like that
too, then those looking for interaction can actually search
it out!
