Inert in the darkness, a dozen large agricultural machines: com-
bine and forage harvesters, tractors of varied sizes and ages.
All are stripped of their operator tools, save for the very new-
est, which emanate a dim glow from their touchscreen HUD panels,
stuck on a screen "AWAITING USER COMMAND" and unable to accept 
any input.

All of these machines have either blunted or outright destroyed
tools--blades, forks, hammers, wedges--worn down to nubs.  An
overwhelming smell of machine oil permeates the chamber, with the
sound of a single machine clanging against rock, deeper in the
cavern.
