An especially hot crater teems with sprites of living fire.  They lounge, as if
in a sauna.  Fair-tempered, they observe outsiders with curiosity but are not 
eager to engage or respond to any interactions.  Those sprites who leave this
place dissolve into the burning sands.  More come to take their place.
