GMT + 2

I am attending an online event on Meetup. The time of the event is published
relative to GMT, that time zone without an 'S' or a 'D' in the middle because
GMT is not affected by daylight saving. 
GMT + 2 is my time zone, which leaves me no work to convert the event's time.
I see from the comments that the time is not easy to understand, and people
from the US of A ask about it time and time again, and I have the opportunity
to join the discussion and help.
I don't really understand how comes people are connected to the internet, and
still don't know how to find a way to convert GMT+2 to their local time zone.
Meetup offers calendar files, one can download and import to their calendar
software.
