Privacy is Overrated ==================== You can sometimes sacrifice that value and enjoy your life better. Because of that value you cannot just browse the net without getting a GDPR notification. What's so bad about having less privacy? I think sacrificing privacy can simplify our lives and make them better. Why? What will happen if instead of asking you endless questions people just knew about you? What if the authorities won't ask you to fill forms because they have all the information they need? Last Saturday before the news, I watched a bit of an item about people who live in small apartments with other individuals. There's a norm in Tel Aviv, one of the bigs cities in Israel, to split apartments for rent into smaller units. Even families live in those units, and children share a rooms with their brothers and sisters as suggested by Sebastian Junger in his book "Tribe". And they have a system of sharing their items with each other. They are a community. OTOH, on the same TV item, I saw a man who lives alone in a 5 or 6 bedroom apartment. Most of the times, the apartment is not in use because he spends his time in another country.
