Throwing Ubuntu Away ==================== While I was using my Odroid N2+ yesterday, the system offred me an upgrade to 24.10. There were some problems, but instead of what the system suggested that I do, which is: dpkg --configure -a I restarted my computer. Now, I'm stuck in a boot loop. I haven't found any way to repair it yet. Never mind! Ubuntu sucks anyway. One reason I think Ubuntu sucks is the Firefox snap. I never succeeded in installing Firefox using snap, and always looked for help on the web, so I can install or upgrade it using 'apt'. The process of configuring the system to install a ".deb" can be found in the following link: https://pnqk.me/kjah9j Guess what! After the upgrade to 24.04 I had to do it or the upgrader would get stuck and would not upgrade anything. Now, the recommended system for my machine is Armbian. I have already downloaded it with a bittorrent app, and checked it against the signature. The process is explained in the following link: https://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Getting-Started/ The one have downloaded is Ubuntu-based. I don't know if it means that my Armbian is still Ubuntu. Armbian is a system created for supporting single board computers, And you can see it from the first three letters, ARM that is a common processor used in those machines. Going to get myself a new micro SD and burn the image using 'dd'.Then, I hope to have no problems to install, and to enjoy a good system.
