Time To Abandon LinkedIn ======================== A war began on 10.7.2023. Now, they expect us citizens to go to the social media and defend Israel because there are people who support Hamas. We are supposed to tell the world that Hamas=ISIS. I have even posted a few posts of advocacy, asking people not to be pro-Palestinians but rather humane because all lives matter. Soon I found that fighting antisemitism on the web is like eating soup with a fork. Should I now pretend that our Minister of Pita Bread is good? Last Saturday I saw one of my connections sharing posts of advocacy, maybe with the hashtag #hamasisisis, meaning Hamas is ISIS, not Hamas is is is. I got tired of it, and decided to publish a post of my own: Guess what? Today I made my first step to abandon LinkedIn: ... ... I don't remember having signing up to read advocacy stuff. Advocacy is not the only reason I want to abandon LinkedIn; I have written why I believe that LinkedIn sucks in the following phost: gopher://zaibatsu.circumlunar.space/0/~zaphodb/phlog/celebrating.txt But, I don't write it on LinkedIn because I do not want to give them the pleasure of saying that I envy those successful people. Those days of war with media full of advocacy are a good time to abandon LInkedIn because it seems that individuals will lose nothing when they cancel their account. I'm still on the great Meetup, and my articles will be moved to Medium (https://medium.com)
