Zen Appliances

Last friday, December 27, 2024, I recieved my fridge. It comes with
one year warranty and 2 yers more. It is a Hisense fridge made in China.
I call it a zen refrigerator.
In the book Zen Computer by Philip Toshio Sudo, I have read that you should
thank your appliances and respect them for serving you.
You get a booklet with your appliances teaching you how to install them,
use them, take care of them, etc.
Take it seriously.
Now, note that the fridge has gasket to keep the temperature cold inside,
and to save energy. Don't hurt them!
There's a drawer for vegetables and fruits; it is a single and partitioned
one. Better open the door at an angle of 135 degrees before pulling the
drawer out, so it won't touch the gaskets and won't tear them.

Be gentle with your appliances. Treat them right, and they will be likely
to treat you right and serve you.
I hope to use that fridge at least as long as the importer can provide me
with replacements.
